William C. Stier, Sr., 82, of Delmar passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, Maryland. He was born on April 18, 1942, in Lumberport, West Virginia. After graduation, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Bill was known for his love of gardening and flowers. He found peace by spending time surrounded by nature and his beloved cats, as well as enjoying fishing trips, especially to Nanticoke. An avid Baltimore Ravens fan, Bill cheered on his team with enthusiasm and dedication. He is survived by his children, Angela D. Tingle (Chuck Willoughby) and William C. Stier, Jr; grandchildren, Christopher Tingle, Abby Tingle, Scott Stier, and Michelle Stier; a cousin, Joann Bailey and her son, Eric. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Stier White; daughter, Lisa Karol Stier, and a son, Curtis Harrison Stier. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 1-5pm at the American Legion Post 64 in Salisbury, Maryland. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
