William Tony Adkins, Jr., 53, of Delmar passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021. He was born on January 6, 1968 in Salisbury, Maryland, a son of William Tony Adkins and Shirley Lawson Adkins. Bill worked at Central Implement Inc. at age 18 working in the parts department until they closed in 2002. He then went to Hoober, Inc and worked for about 19 years in parts. He loved hot rod cars and Chevy trucks. He loved traveling, car/truck shows, bonfires, the beach, family dinners, and spending time with those he loved. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Anne Tinsmith-Adkins; his children, Ashley Broyles (Mike), William Adkins, III, Robert Adkins, Samantha Lewis and her fiance Shawn Layton, Brandon Lewis, Savannah Cole, Erynne Guy, Zoey Taylor; grandchildren, Ava and Ben Broyles and Sophia Layton; brothers, Gary Adkins and Steve Adkins (Julie); father- and mother-in-law, William Jr. and Nancy Tinsmith; sisters- and brothers-in law, Aimee and Ron Allen, Megan Tinsmith, and William III and Katherine Tinsmith; and nieces and nephews, Kyrsten Tinsmith, Alexander Allen, Cayden Tinsmith-Gaskins, Jude Adkins and Jane Tinsmith. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a memorial service to follow, at Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
