Walter Young, age 76, of Salisbury, died on Monday, May 29, 2017 of Alzheimer's, surrounded by his loving family and Coastal Hospice, at home. Born in Ashland, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Charles and Anna Young Paterson. He was one of 12 children. Upon moving to Salisbury in the 70s, he and his wife raised 18,000 chickens for Perdue; later owning and operating with his son and partner Chris Young, W&W Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. He loved fishing,hunting, and camping in his early years, always putting his children and grandchildren first. He loved building and undertaking projects as he was never idle. He loved animals and raised sheep, ducks, and barnyard chickens for the grandchildren. He leaves his wife of 57 years, Judith Johnson Young; his children, Christopher Young (Cheryl) and Darla Young and Dana Jonischek (Todd); grandchildren, Ty Hagel, Brett Jones and Hannah Young. He also leaves his best buddies and faithful companions, his dogs, Lexie and Livie. Cremation followed; and at his wishes there will be no services or memorials.
