She was a lifetime member of the Laurel Fire Department Auxiliary, where she was very active for many years. She was also a member of St. George's United Methodist Church in Delmar. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed doing word puzzle books. What she cherished the most in life were those times spent with her family. She is survived by two sons, Jay A. Hill and his wife, Denice, and Jeff W. Hill and his wife, Ann, all of Laurel; a granddaughter, Ashley Hill of Laurel and her boyfriend, Brad Taylor; 3 step grandsons, Mike Zidanic and his wife, Jessica, Chris Zidanic and his wife, Katie and Josh Zidanic; a step-great grandson, Seth Michael Zidanic; and a brother, Howard Records and his wife, Imogene of Lewes. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, William "Billy" Hill, who passed in 2005; and two brothers, Wilson A. Records and Robert A. Records. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, July 29, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, and also on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service, which begins at 11:00. The Reverend Dr. Howard G. Backus will officiate. Interment will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
