Virginia Robbins Carr, 96, of Delmar, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. She was born in Delmar, a daughter of the late Edward Allen Robbins and Susan May Dunn Robbins. Virginia graduated from the Delmar Maryland High School with the class of 1931, then attended Goldey Business College in Wilmington. She was a long time, active member of First Baptist Church of Delmar. Her unwavering love for her family and her church will always be remembered. She is survived by two sons, Joseph Allen Carr and his wife, Jean of Havre de Grace, Maryland and Jerry B. Carr and his wife, Renee' of North Port, Florida; six grandchildren, Jennifer Famous, Jonathan Carr, Justin Carr, Ryan Carr, Benjamin Carr, and Nathan Carr; and four great grandchildren, Emma, Erin, Adam and Gillian. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The Reverends Barry Devine and Jerry Carr will officiate.
