Seaford-Virgil J. Joseph, Sr., 61, of Seaford, died Wednesday, September 18, 2013. He was born February 3, 1952 in Seaford, a son of the late Arthur Joseph and Joyce Davis Joseph. Virgil started his career as a carpenter with Nanticoke Homes in Bridgeville, where he worked many years. He then went to work for Dresser Pump for a number of years before spending the past 10-12 years with Fluor Daniels. He shared his love of hot rods and hunting with his sons. He was a loving, caring grandfather who enjoyed having fun with his grandchildren. Virgil will be remembered as a man who loved to find a bargain, searching yard sales and flea markets for a great deal. He will be greatly missed by his family, his carpooling buddies and his flea market friends. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Helen Massey Joseph; a daughter, Amy Joseph of Seaford; 2 sons, Virgil "Jamie" Joseph, Jr (Cristi) of Bridgeville and Jeremy James Joseph (Mariha) of Seaford; 7 grandchildren, Amber, Tyler, Dustin, Kelsie, Austin, Lucas and Arizona; 4 great grandchildren; a brother, Terry L. Joseph (Connie) of Seaford; and a sister, Mollie McCabe (Joe) of Blades. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Laurel Church of the Nazarene, 100 Walnut Avenue, Laurel, where family and friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00.
