Trevor Wayne Post, 31, of Delmar, Delaware, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Hospital in Salisbury, surrounded by family and friends. He was born on May 21, 1994, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, Delaware. Trevor grew up with a love for life and a heart for others. He played soccer in his youth and enjoyed racing junior dragsters, where his competitive spirit and determination shone through. Trevor graduated from Delmar High School and was deeply loved by his family and many close friends. He had a gift for making others feel special, always ready with a hug and never ending a conversation without saying, "love you." He is survived by his mother, Pansy Powell; father, Alan Post (Terry Sinclair); stepfather, Albert Chestnut; and bonus dad, Steve Mollick. He is also survived by his brothers, Austin Powell (Amie), Jordan Powell and Joshua Powell; sisters, Rebekah Powell and Everleigh Powell; stepbrother, Randy Chestnut; stepsister, Angie Chestnut; niece, Katelyn Muir; nephew, Tyler Powell (Deysia); uncle, Ricky Thomas (Diane); cousins, Tiffany and Taylor Thomas; and aunt, Cheryl Post. Trevor was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Raymond "Buck" and Priscilla Thomas, and paternal grandparents, Larry and Darlene Post. He will be remembered for his deep love for family, his warm and giving heart, and the countless memories he leaves behind. A funeral service will be held at Short Funeral Home in Delmar on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 11am. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.
