Thomas Michael Rabbitt, 72, of Delmar passed away Friday, October 14, 2011 at Salisbury Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was born October 29, 1938, the son of the late Thomas and Mary Rabbitt. Mr. Rabbitt spent his early years in New York working for Grumman Air Craft as a planning supervisor, before transferring to Salisbury. He then went on to be a registered nurse for many area nursing homes. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Church in Salisbury, where he served as a Eucharist minister. Bowling was a special past time. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Arlene Rabbitt; three daughters, Anne Wagner (Chuck), Lois Rabbitt and Amanda Rabbitt, all of New York; a son, Thomas Rabbitt (Kristin) of Delmar; two step-sons, Joseph Feldman (Andrea) and Rick Feldman (Shelia), all of California; a step-daughter, Jennifer Childs of New York; grandchildren, Danielle, Heather Anne, Justin, Elizabeth, Wyatt, West, and James; 3 great grandchildren; and his beloved Pomeranian, Sebastian. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Rabbitt. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, October 17, 2011 from 7 to 9:00 p.m. at Weber Funeral Home in Lake Ronkonkoma, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph R. C. Church. Entombment will follow at Queen of All Saints Cemetery.
