Thomas H. Gifford, 80, of Delmar and formerly of Wittman, Maryland and New Castle, Delaware, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017 at his home. Mr. Gifford moved to Delmar, Delaware to be with his family in 2013. He enjoyed church and serving the Lord, bowling and gardening. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Meta M. Gifford. He is survived by his son, George Gifford of Delmar, who cared for him for two years at his home until his passing; two daughters, Patricia Solomon and Elizabeth Stewart both of Delmar; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. No services will be held as Mr. Gifford's wish was to be cremated and placed with his wife's ashes so they will be together.
