Theresa Ann Maggio, 82, of Laurel, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford. She was born in Kings Park, New York on May 31, 1931, a daughter of the late Stephen and Victoria Kowalski. Mrs. Maggio was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Delmar. She enjoyed working at the US 13 Laurel Market on weekends, reading, and watching the Orioles play baseball. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by three children, Susan Bradford and her husband Dennis of Willards, Eugene Maggio, Jr. and his wife Mildred of Delmar, and Steven Maggio of Laurel; 2 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Maggio, Sr. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 12 noon at the Short Funeral Home in Delmar. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Pastor Dennis Bradford will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Stephens Cemetery in Delmar.
