Theresa Donovan Crockett, 68 of Mardela Springs passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the Salisbury Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. She was born in Salisbury, MD on July 7, 1955. She was the daughter of the late John Alfred and the late Rosemary (Dryden) Donovan. Also, she was the stepdaughter of the late Fred (Butch) Leslie Wells of Mardela Springs. After graduating from Mardela High School in 1973, she worked in banking, office supplies, and pharmacies for 42 years before retiring in 2015. The local companies were Union Trust Bank, Maryland State Bank, Baltimore Stationary, Rite Aid Pharmacy, and Walgreens Pharmacy. Theresa was known for her personality, kindness, and her love for family and friends. She will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved her. Theresa is survived by her husband Bryan Donald Crockett of 41 years, sister, Cimarron Rose Sexton of Salisbury, brother, Reuben Daniel "R.D." Calder, Sr. and wife, Vivian of Mardela Springs; son, Chad Leslie Crockett (fiancée, Lyndsey Gerstle), grand-daughter, Cayli A. Crockett, and several nieces and nephews, R. Dan Calder, Jr. (Ashley), Kelley E. Elliott (Joshua) and Leslie Rose Williams (Moxey); and several great-nieces and nephews. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, followed by a funeral service which begins at 11:00. Interment will follow in Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Mardela Springs Vol. Fire Co., P.O.
