Thelma Elizabeth Williams, 86, of Salisbury died Monday, August 16, 2010, at her home in Salisbury. She was born on May 24, 1924, in Delmar, a daughter of the late Herbert and Hetti Brittingham. She loved her work for many years as a waitress at the Acorn Restaurant in Salisbury, and she also owned and operated Thelma's Cleaning Service. She is survived by a son, Robert F. Williams of Florida; three daughters, Diane Gully of Greenbackville, Virginia, Connie L. Williams of Whaleysville, Maryland, and Debbie Foxwell of Eden, Maryland; ten grandchildren, Amanda, Rachel, Darla, Holly, Jerry, Frank, Chrissy, Michelle, Melinda, and Brandi; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Williams; a daughter, JoAnne Steere; and her brothers and sisters. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 3 p.m. at St. Stephens Cemetery in Delmar.
