DELMAR- Terrance (Terry) J. Massey, 63, of Delmar, Delaware, passed away at home after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. Terry graduated from Laurel High School was a chef in Philadelphia for 15 years and a retail manager in both Maryland and Delaware with PetSmart and Family Dollar for his remaining career. He is survived by his mother, Hattie L. Massey; his best friend, Robert E. Godwin, Jr.; sisters, Linda Abbott and her two daughters and a son, Bonnie Baker and husband, Frank Baker, Sr. and their son and daughter; and a brother, Michael Massey and wife Mary Grace Massey. He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry David Massey and his father, Johnny Albert Massey. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Philips Episcopal Church, 600 S. Central Avenue, Laurel, DE 19956. Interment will follow later that afternoon at All Saints Cemetery in Wilmington. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
