Teresa Ann Wilkerson, 63, of Willards passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 29, 1960, in Milford, Delaware, a daughter of the late Jean Ann (Wells) Chandler and George Edward Banks. Teresa had an outgoing personality and loved taking care of others. She was the most compassionate and unselfish person when it came to loving her family and friends. She loved lighthouses, going on cruises to the Bahamas and trips to Lancaster with her family. She was a fan of Elvis Presley and throughout the years she collected lots of his memorabilia. She enjoyed spending Saturday's going to yard sales and shopping at thrift shops for that unexpected find. She is survived by her husband, John A. Wilkerson; son, Donnie Seaton and his wife Ashlyn; step-son, John Wilkerson and family; daughter, Ashley Wilkerson and her fiancé Marvin Simpson; grandchildren, Skylar Patterson, Kamryn Black, Logan Seaton and Preston Griffin; brother, George Edward Banks and his wife Kim and their children, Brittany, Deborah Lynn, and Kenzie; sister, Brenda Truitt and her husband Earl and their children Kimmie, Glen and Brad; sister, Barbara Banks and her children, Megan and Brooke; mother-in-law, Alice Wilkerson; sister-in-law, Evelyn McCray; brothers-in-law, Robert Phillips and family, Donnie Wilkerson and his wife Wanda, and George Wilkerson; five step-brothers; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, George L. Wilkerson; and a sister-in-law, Charlotte Phillips. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Marvin Simpson for always taking her to doctor's appointments, Julie Gregory a special nurse who cared for her at home during her illness, and Teresa S. from Coastal Hospice for her exceptional care.
