With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Susan Barbara White "Sue", a devoted wife, a cherished mother, loving grandmother, loving sister and beloved friend. Born in Salisbury, Maryland, on May 26, 1958, Susan, who resided in Hebron, Maryland, departed this world on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at the age of 66. She was a daughter of the late Robert and Barbara Rose (MacMillan) Bendix. Susan was a proud homemaker, dedicating her life to nurturing her family and creating a loving home filled with warmth and laughter. Her greatest passion was her family, and she often found joy in the simple moments spent with her loved ones. Susan held a special place in her heart for animals, particularly her loyal dog, Shelby, and her delightful "baby girls" - her cherished chickens, who were a source of endless joy and amusement for her. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 49 years, James "Jimmy" White Jr.; her sons, Brian White and wife, Erin and Scott White and wife, Melanie; her daughter, Jami Matthews and husband, Richard. Her legacy will be carried on by her grandchildren: Jourdin White, Ashlyn White, Autumn White, Katlyn White, Dylan Lowe, Chris Lowe, Noah Lowe, and Cayden Matthews. Additionally, she leaves behind her great-grandson, Finn Twilley, her dear brother, Kenneth Bendix; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and last but not least, her beloved dog, "Shelby." In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Jimmy Bendix and Billy Bendix. A private celebration of Susan's life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Humane Society of Wicomico County, 5130 Citation Drive.
