Susan M. Hunt, 56, of Delmar passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford, Delaware where she was battling complications from her gastric cancer. She was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania on November 17, 1965. Susan spent her career later in life working in Gastroenterology practices and most recently switched fields and worked as a Cancer Services Surgical Scheduler for the TidalHealth Allen Cancer Center in Seaford, DE. She loved her position which allowed her to help those going through cancer, like she had survived at age 19 of ovarian cancer. Outside of work, Susan enjoyed spending time with her husband, Howard Hunt, who she married in Jamaica on October 29, 2004. They were married just shy of 18 years. She was also an avid animal lover who worked online to promote rescues of animals in high kill shelters. She rescued animals herself as well, as Howard could attest to. She didn't have an easy life, but always tried to put a smile on her face and have an upbeat attitude. The world will be sadder place without her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Clydette J. Lobach. Formal funeral services have not been planned at this time. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
