It is with great sadness that the family of Susan J. Groton announces her passing, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer, on Monday, August 13, 2018, at the age of 68. For most of her working life "Miss Susan" was a loving daycare provider to many children in the area. Susan will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Bob Groton of Laurel, De and her children, Michelle Evans (Robert) of Delmar, De and Melody Morgan Mutch and her companion, John Riggin of Crisfield, Md. She will also be forever remembered by her grandchildren, Bobby and Alyssa Evans and Evan Riggin. Susan was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Lorine Strick and her brother, Donald Strick. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Short Funeral Home, 13 E. Grove Street in Delmar.
