Susan Lehto Cullen, age 74, of Salisbury, Maryland passed away on March 22, 2023, at her son's home surrounded by her family and close friends. She will forever be remembered as an Angel on Earth whose unconditional love provided comfort, direction, and a place of refuge. Susan was a lifelong educator, starting her career as an English teacher at Washington High School and ending her career as a guidance counselor at Pocomoke Middle School in Pocomoke, MD. She impacted many students during her 40 years of teaching and counseling. Susan was happiest surrounded by her family and friends. Susan was an artist although, she would always deny she had talent. She enjoyed creating floral arrangements and making homemade cards for her loved ones. She loved making scrapbooks and has left many memories for friends and loved ones in her creations. Susan was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Salisbury, Maryland. Sue is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert (Deke) Cullen; her son, Jason Cullen (Nicole); grandchildren, Moriah Cullen (Ben), Jacob Cullen (Caroline), Abigail Cullen, Laine Dickerson, and Grant Dickerson; sisters, JoAnn Lehto, Joyce Calvano, Jeanne Cheney (Bill), and Jenny Arons; nieces Megan Davis, Lisa Trivits (Dave), Janelle Montgomery (Mark); nephews, Nyles Davis and his wife Amber and their children Sophie and Nora, Les Frisby, Jonathan Cheney, and Zachary Cheney (Jessie); her close friends, Ali and Mike Patterson and their sons Andy, Alex, Aidan, Avery, and Austin. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, George and Doris Lehto; her husband's parents, Joe and Alice Cullen; her sister-in-law, Janice Snyder; and a sister, Jackie Lehto Sterette. A celebration of life will be held at Oak Ridge Baptist Church, 361 Tilghman Road, Salisbury, MD on Saturday, April 22nd at 11AM with a visitation from 10-11AM.
