Steve Anthony Wallace, 57, of Laurel, passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 24, 2023. He was born August 13, 1966, in Salisbury, a son of Norma Phippin Williams and the late Orville Norman Wallace, Sr. Steve was a talented mason and worked for several brick mason companies during his career. He loved working in the yard, helping others and had a special place in his heart for animals, especially cats. He will be fondly remembered as a loving son, father, brother, and friend to many. He is survived by his mother, Norma Phippin Williams; son, Derek Mason Wallace and his girlfriend, Lindsey Atwood; siblings, Mary Sue Morgan and husband Kenneth, Orville Norman Wallace, Jr. and wife Cheryl and Dawn Wallace Pusey; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend, former wife, Crystal Wallace. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, John F. Kennedy Wallace, who passed in 1996. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Wicomico Memorial Park on Snow Hill Road in Salisbury. The Reverend Danny Travers will officiate.
