Shirley A. Welch Haye Leo, age 79, of Salisbury, MD went to join our Lord and Savior on Friday, March 14, 2014. Shirley was born on July 23rd, 1934. She is a graduate of William Penn High School in Newark, DE in 1952. Shirley has been a faithful member of Delmarva Evangelistic Church of Salisbury, MD for 35 years where she served as a Sunday school teacher and Deacon. Shirley was an approved speaker for Stone Craft Ministries and has also served as Chairperson of Christian Women's Club. She has been employed by Trans Data Corporation, Perdue Farms, and most recently Travel Advisors, all of which are in Salisbury, MD. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Clinton S. Welch and Catherine M. Alfree Welch, and her sister Deanna Welch Gannon. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Gus Vincent Leo; brother, Clinton R. Welch, Sr. (Mary Ellen); one daughter Kimberly L. Haye McWilliams (David), and three beautiful granddaughters, Erica L. McWilliams, Lauren N. McWilliams, and Danielle M. McWilliams of Delmar, MD. A funeral service will be held at the Delmarva Evangelistic Church, 408 Gordy Road, Salisbury, MD 21804 at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Pastor Robert "Buzz" Gregory will officiate. Burial will follow at Wicomico Memorial Park, 721 Snow Hill Road, Salisbury, MD 21804. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Shirley's memory to Delmarva Evangelistic Church, 408 Gordy Road, Salisbury, MD 21804.
