Shirley S. Reddish, 71, of Delmar, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, after a brief stay at Mallard Bay Nursing & Rehab in Cambridge. She was born in Talbot County, Maryland on October 19, 1951, the only child of the late Thomas Arthur Gannon and Frances Kinnamon Gannon. After graduation Shirley earned a degree from Del-Tech. Her passion for helping others led her to a long and rewarding career as a paramedic. She was hired in 1989 by the City of Salisbury as a firefighter and paramedic and officially retired in 2010. After retirement she was offered an administrative position at SFD where she worked until 2013. She served on a volunteer basis for several local fire companies, mainly Pittsville, Willards and Delmar. While serving in Delmar she was a member of the Delmar FD Auxiliary, served on several committees and volunteered as an ambulance associate. Shirley also worked many years as a paramedic for events at the Wicomico County Convention Center. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Salisbury. She was an avid reader, loved puzzles and was remarkably fast at putting them together. Shirley had a special place in her heart for her dogs, Rosie and Regan. She enjoyed eating out and making memories with family and friends. She is survived by her loving companion, Robert "Bobby" Lee Twilley; and his children, Sherrie Thomas and husband Gregg, Lori Twilley, Bobbie Jean Hasbrouck and husband Dave, Robby Twilley and wife Alison and Melanie Thompson and husband Tyler; his grandchildren, Ryan, Logan, Alexia, Paige, Anna, Makena, Olivia, Trey, Blake, Addison, Averie and Acelynn; and his great grandchildren, Ryder and Krew; his former wife and close friend of Shirley's, Teena Lanham and husband Scott; and close friends and colleagues, Lee and Debbie Smith, and their daughter Kristen.
