Snow Hill- With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Ann McWilliams, a beloved mother and grandmother, who left us peacefully at her home on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the age of 87. Born in Ridgely, MD, on April 6, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Edward Macpherson, Sr. and Catherine May (Dickerson) Macpherson. Her talent shone brightly when she owned Shirley's Florist in Reisterstown, Maryland, where she created stunning arrangements that delighted countless customers and friends alike. She later went on to work at a podiatrist office as a receptionist and as a secretary at the Teamsters Local in Salisbury. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Worcester Chapter #102 where she had served as worthy matron and held several other offices throughout the years. Shirley is survived by her devoted son, Mark Owen McWilliams (Pattie), cherished grandchildren, Stephanie McWilliams, David McWilliams, Charles McWilliams (Laura), and Brendan McWilliams (Emily), and great grandchildren, Lily, Violet, Caleb, Maximus, Elijah, Carly and Eoin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry McWilliams, and her son, Myron Keith McWilliams. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Noon at the Sinepuxent Masonic Lodge #193 on Belt Street in Snow Hill, Maryland. Friends and family are welcome to gather to share stories, celebrate her life, and honor the joy she brought to all of us.
