It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sherry Ann Fisher, age 66, of Parsonsburg, MD, who left this world on Saturday, September 26, 2026. Born on February 7, 1960, in Easton, MD, Sherry was a daughter of the late Julius James Roe and Margaret Rosalie Kilmon Roe. A vibrant spirit whose love for life and commitment to her family and community left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Sherry grew up in St. Michaels, where her passion for sports flourished, particularly her love for basketball. She graduated from St. Michael's High School with the Class of 1978 before answering the call to serve her country by enlisting in the U.S. Army on her 18th birthday. Sherry dedicated 20 years of her life to military service, retiring as First Sergeant in 1998. She furthered her education by earning a Bachelor's degree from Salisbury University.

A proud member of American Legion Post 64 in Salisbury, Sherry was actively involved with the 40&8 organization, working tirelessly to provide scholarships to deserving students in need of financial assistance for college. Her commitment to community service reflected the values she instilled in her family.

Sherry found her greatest joys outdoors, whether skiing, enjoying cookouts and picnics at her cherished spot at Assateague. As a devoted mother, she was passionately supportive of her son Sean, rarely missing a game during his Little League, high school, or college baseball career. Family was the center of Sherry's universe, and she eagerly anticipated gatherings and holidays with loved ones. Anyone who mentioned "road trip" knew that Sherry would be ready to embark on an adventure at a moment's notice.

Sherry leaves behind her beloved husband of 38 years, Randolph Fisher, who she married on July 16, 1988; her son, Sean Fisher, her sisters, Betty Ruark and husband, Tommy and Jean Daffin and husband. Charlie; brothers, Phil Roe and wife, Kim and Scott Roe and wife, Wanda; and her sisters-in-law, Etta Mayers and Beverly Fisher. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Milton James "Jay" Fisher and Thomas James "Tommy" Fisher, and a nephew, James E. "Little Jay" Fisher.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 3:00 to 4:00 at Short Funeral Home of Delmar, where a service with military honors will begin at 4:00. Friends and family are welcome to gather to celebrate Sherry's life and legacy.
