Sherrie Kay Daly, 64, of Parsonsburg, departed from this world on Sunday, June 1, 2025, after a brief stay at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. She was born April 5, 1961, in Manhattan, Kansas, a daughter of the late Hazel Halligan Harvey. Sherrie's career path led her to the Parsons One-Stop, where her genuine connection with customers made them feel like family. In her later years, she served as a clerk at Dollar General, continuing to bring joy and kindness to everyone she encountered. Her dedication extended beyond her work; Sherrie had a profound love for animals and devoted her time to making blankets for pets at the Humane Society and local shelters, a testament to her caring nature. In her later years she found her true calling in helping others, when she became a home-care caregiver for friends Sherrie is survived by her daughter, Shayla Daly and husband, Colby Hess; her grandchildren, Austin Daly and wife, Molly and Ashlyn Daly; and her great-grandchild, Eli Leggett. She is also survived by special friends and caregivers, Kate and Nick Raymond; and her former husband, Joe, who she always joked about the man she married twice. Each of them carries a piece of her spirit and memories that will forever remain in their hearts. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sara; and her precious four legged best friend, Bella. Known for her wonderful sense of humor and her exceptional cooking skills, particularly her renowned chicken and dumplings, Sherrie found joy in bringing family and friends together around the table. Her infectious laughter and warm hugs will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know her. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional and Coastal Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Sherrie's courageous battle with cancer.
