Sheri Renee Whitelock, 42, of Pittsville, loving daughter, mother, and wife, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury, surrounded by her amazing family. She was born on May 28, 1981, in Salisbury, the daughter of Sharon (Adkins) White and Gerald R. "Jerry" White, Jr. Sheri graduated from Parkside High School with the class of '99. After graduation she enrolled in classes at WorWic Community College before earning her degree in accounting from Salisbury University. Through the years she worked at several law firms before working as an accountant for Wicomico County. Sheri loved her family and friends with all of her heart. On a daily basis she would unselfishly put her needs aside to take care of others. She was an excellent cook and perfectionist when taking care of her home. Sheri especially loved holidays and making sure the house was decorated perfectly. In her free time she loved getting her hair and nails done. She will be sorely missed by her family and her many close friends. She is survived by her loving husband of ten years, Mark S. Whitelock; daughters, Brooklyn Carey and Hailey Whitelock; parents, Sharon and Jerry White, all of Pittsville; grandmother, Betsy White of Willards; a special aunt, Christine Morris and her husband Rick of Pittsville; several aunts, uncles and cousins; a special lifelong friend, Nicole Ondo; and her beloved dogs, Callie and Gabby. She is also survived by a host of loving friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edna Adkins, James Dewey Adkins, and Gerald White, Sr. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, from 6 to 8:00 and on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 10 to 11:00 am at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am on Thursday. Interment will follow in Pittsville Cemetery.
