Shawn Michael Williams, loved son, brother, friend, uncle, nephew and husband and father-to-be, age 19, of Parsonsburg, died Friday, November 27, 2009, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born September 24, 1990 in Salisbury, a son of Wendy Sue (Raven) Williams and Wayne "Boe" Williams, Jr. and his wife, April. Shawn was a 2009 graduate of Parkside High School and was currently enrolled in classes at Wor-Wic Community College where he was studying to become a chef. His love for cooking and culinary presentation fueled his passion to one day own his own restaurant. He currently worked as a manager for Domino's Pizza in Salisbury and was training to become a bounty hunter with a local bail bond company. He was an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants fan. Everyone that knew Shawn knew that he had a carefree spirit who loved life and enjoyed making people laugh. He will never be forgotten and his spirit will live on in all that knew him. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancé, Brittany Michelle Dorsey of Pittsville, with whom he was expecting their first child, due to be born in May; brothers and sisters, Stephanie Williams and Matthew Williams, both of Parsonsburg, and Meaghan Murphy, Tyler Murphy and Sabrina Williams all of Salisbury; paternal grandparents, Delores and Wayne Williams, Sr. of Salisbury; maternal grandmother, Jan Raven of New York; great grandmother, Emma Austin of Salisbury; and a nephew, Jacob Marshall Williams of Quantico. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Donald Raven and a great grandfather, Wilbur Austin. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home, 13 E. Grove Street, Delmar, where family and friends may call from 12:00 to 1:00. The Reverend Robert Weed will officiate. Interment will follow at Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron. Following the interment, all are welcome to join the family at the Pittsville Fire Department for a gathering of food and fellowship.
