Delmar- Sandra May Rees, "Janet", 73, of Delmar, died Friday, May 5, 2017 at her home where she lived with her son and family. She was born January 25, 1944 in Wilmington, a daughter of the late Sam Watts and Audrey Nolan Butz. Janet, as she was known by many, worked many years on the production line at Pepsi Co. She was a true lover of music and loved to DJ and host karaoke parties. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend to many. She is survived by sons, Jason Rees and wife, Valerie of Delmar, and Michael Scott Rees and wife, Trudie of W. Melbourne, Florida; numerous grandchildren; a step-daughter, Marian Rees of New Castle, Delaware; and a brother, a sister, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roland John Rees, Sr., who passed in 2005; a son, Richard Rodney Rees, who passed in 2016; and a step-son, Roland John Rees, Jr. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
