Ruthann Roberts (Walls) of Mardela Springs, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 19, 2022, with loving family by her side. She was born in Wilmington, DE to parents Amos and Maude Walls on August 3, 1934, and grew up in New Castle, DE. Where she met and married Willard Reynolds. In the years to follow they would be blessed with three sons and go on to share many happy years farming and raising "her boys." Later working at Bancroft Fabric in Wilmington. Then moved to Port Penn, DE where she worked at Hillhaven Center as a caregiver for terminal children, a job she took much pride in and gave much love to. She also spent much of her time commercial fishing, holding a captain's license, hunting, and trapping, enjoying the outdoors and nature, also taking much pride in her garden. Then in 2016 retiring to Mardela Springs to spend time with her children and their families. Enjoying life until her homecoming. She was preceded in death by her parents: Amos and Maude, brothers: William, Amos Jr., George, Victor, James, John (Buzzy), Lewis (Butch) sisters: Hazel Birney, Anna May Lewis, and Maude (Sissey). She is survived by her three sons: Willard Reynolds Jr. (Shirley) of Mardela Springs Md.; Robert Reynolds (Betty) of Newark De.; and Joseph Reynolds (Sarahjane) of Mardela Springs Md; 11 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 43 great great grandchildren, 1 great great great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Athol Baptist Cemetery in Mardela Springs.
