Ruth Elizabeth Warren Wilson, age 80, of Oak Orchard, Delaware, died Friday, October 5, 2007, at the home of her caregiver, with whom she lived for the past seven years. She was born on September 24, 1927 in Millsboro, a daughter of the late Wilford and Clara Penuel Warren. She worked for over 10 years at E.I. DuPont in Seaford as a machine operator. After leaving DuPont, she enjoyed staying at home as a homemaker and loved ceramics, crocheting and crafts. She also enjoyed the people and activities at the CHEER Center in Georgetown. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis W. Messick and her husband, Joe, of Laurel; 2 grandchildren, Hope Larson & her husband, Doug, of Laurel and Joe Wayne Messick, Jr. and his wife, Rhonda of Laurel; 6 great grandchildren; and a brother, Roland Warren, of Millsboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ronald A. Wilson; 3 brothers, Alan Warren, Lester Warren and Ralph Warren; a sister, Gladys Hearn; and a granddaughter, Holly Reba Messick. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Millsboro Cemetery. The Reverend Roland Tice will officiate.
