Rose A. Moore, age 80, of Delmar, passed away at her home on Monday, April 10, 2017. She was born on March 19, 1937 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Raymond and Rose Baker. Rose spent many years working at Harvard Custom Manufacturing in Salisbury. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Delmar. Rose loved spending time reading and doing puzzles. In her earlier years, she enjoyed bowling in leagues at Wicomico and Cherokee Lanes in Salisbury. She is survived by her son, Jay H. Moore (Cheryl) of Salisbury; sisters, Helene Gilbert of Delmar and Lois McAllister of Milford; a brother, Raymond Baker, Jr. (Teresa) of New Hampshire; four grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Moore; a son, Jerry "Little Jerry" Moore, Jr.; daughters, Jody L. Justice and Cathy A. Dennis; and a brother, Harvey "Butch" Baker. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Short Funeral Home, 13 East Grove Street in Delmar. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. Pastor Chuck Reynolds will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Stephens Cemetery in Delmar.
