Ronald A. Harris, 72, of Delmar, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 22, 2017. He was born on January 18, 1945 in Salisbury, Maryland, a son of the late Roscoe and Evelyn Gambrill Harris. Ron proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Salisbury. He worked as a security guard for the Indian River Power Plant in Dagsboro, and he enjoyed fishing and family get-togethers. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Judy Anne Harris; son, Wyatt Harris (Melissa); daughter, Dawn King (Ron); step-sons, Joseph Wilbraham (Melba) and Christopher Wilbraham; grandchild, Dakota King; step-grandchildren, Joe, Emma, Jacob and Phillip; brothers, Morris Harris (Nancy) and Dale Harris (Nancy); and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966.
