Obituary

Roger Grey Reinhardt of Delmar, Maryland passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024, at Tidal Health Peninsula Regional Hospital in Salisbury, at the age of 61. Born on July 19, 1963, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Gail S. Reinhardt and Marvin G. Reinhardt, Sr. Roger was a man of many passions, especially for Elvis Presley. He lit up the room with his Elvis impersonation talent, earning the nickname "Lil El" among friends and family. He had a love for classic rock music; you could always find him cranking up tracks from Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and The Who. He had an unbeatable knack for trivia games, excelling at Trivial Pursuit and Jeopardy. Roger also enjoyed classic movies, particularly those starring legends like John Wayne, Lionel Barrymore and Clark Gable. He was particularly infatuated with the provocative singing style of actress/singer Virginia O'Brien. He was also a devoted fan of comedians like Jerry Seinfeld, Jerry Lewis, Larry David, and Sarah Silverman. Roger enjoyed going fishing, finding joy and peace in every cast. He had a fondness for art nouveau style employed most often in architecture, interior design, jewelry and glass design. In his later years, Roger worked at Wal-Mart as a stocker—where his warm smile and friendly demeanor made him a favorite among customers and colleagues alike. Before that, he dedicated time to the J.E. Smith Paper Box Company in Millersville, MD. and Page Box Company in Baltimore, Maryland. Roger is survived by his brothers, Michael Jay Reinhardt (Glenda) and Terry "Tink" William Reinhardt; nephews, Christopher M. Reinhardt (Sarah L. Truitt) and Shaun C. Reinhardt (Malcolm Hairston); niece, Brooke Reinhardt; great nieces, Lillian J. Reinhardt, Allison Scott, Kylie Reinhardt, and Katelynn Adkins; and cousins, James, John, Butchie and Debbie Conner. His good friend Keith (Big) Brown of Delmar. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin G. Reinhardt, Jr, and a niece, Christina Reinhardt. Services will be private. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.shortfh.com.
