LAUREL-Robert "Bobby" Allen Martinson, 51, of Laurel, died Saturday, July 14, 2018. He was born August 29, 1966 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a son of Roger L. Martinson and Gayle M. Martinson of Laurel. He graduated from Delmar High School with the class of 1984. For the past 15 years he has enjoyed his job as a maintenance supervisor for Amick Farms in Delmar. Bobby will be remembered as somewhat of a rebel and free-spirit who loved to ride his Harley Davidson. He was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan and stuck with them through the ups and downs. Most importantly, Bobby was a devoted family man who supported his grandchildren in all of their activities and rarely missed a game, school concert or anything that they chose to be involved in. He is survived by his fiancé of 7 years and the love of his life, Melody Ann McIntyre of Laurel; daughters, Nikki McIntyre of Laurel and Danielle Blackburn and husband, Michael of Delmar; son, Matthew McIntyre of Delmar; siblings, Richard Roger Martinson and wife, Lisa of Salisbury, Lisa Ann Trolian of Salisbury and Roger Duke Martinson and wife, Amanda of Delmar; and grandchildren, Makayla, Tyler, Brianna, Kyleigh, Michael, Abbi, Bentley and Nevaeh. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of close friends. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, and also on Friday, July 20, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service which begins at 1:00. Pastor Gordon Nock will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Stephen's Cemetery in Delmar. Memorial contributions may be made to the Delmar Little League, P.O. Box 518, Delmar, DE 19940.
