LAUREL- Robert "Bob" Linwood Milligan, 74, of Laurel, Delaware, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. He was born March 10, 1940 in Easton, Maryland, a son of the late Wilson Milligan. Bob attended school in Easton until leaving to enter the U.S. Navy where he proudly served his country from 1958 to 1961 on the U.S.S. Everglades. On July 29, 1960 he married the love of his life, Peggy Ann Hutchison of Easton. After his discharge from the Navy he worked as a mechanic with his father before working over 40 years as a printer. Mr. Milligan was a member of First Baptist Church in Delmar, Maryland. In addition to loving his family and always putting them first, he loved cars, NASCAR racing and watching old westerns. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Peggy Ann Milligan; 2 sons, Erik Milligan and wife, Ginny of Laurel, Corey Milligan and wife, Mary Jo of Frankford; a daughter, Kimberly Morton and husband, Scott of Laurel; and 5 grandchildren, Heather, Michael, Ronald, Chase and Tanner Milligan. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Delmar, where family and friends may call from 11:00 to 12:00. The Reverend Ken Johnson will officiate. Interment will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Milligan's memory to Faith Baptist Church, 1207 E. State Street, Delmar, MD 21875. Arrangements are being handled by Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
