It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Benjamin Daigle, who was born on June 3, 1975, in Portsmouth, Virginia. Bobby went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. He is survived by his loving parents, Bonnie (Lowe) and Del Daigle, his brothers, Raymond (Tammy), Chris (Jessica), his sister, Maria, his nieces and nephews, and his fiancé Susan Banks, the love of his life. Bobby is preceded in death by his grandfather Reese Lowe, grandmother Arvalene Lowe Moore and his brother, Richard. From a young age, Bobby had a passion for music that knew no bounds. He was a self-taught musician (a gift from God), who could pick up any instrument—from drums to guitar to keyboard—and make it sing. Michael Jackson’s tunes were a staple in his early years as well as the Christian band Stryper and several other secular bands. As a young man, Bobby enjoyed playing in a band with his friends called "Thron" as well as other local bands. He especially enjoyed hanging out and jamming with his pastor and friend Mike Truitt, who could play anything and everything also. Whether it was heavy metal or heartfelt love ballads, Bobby embraced all genres and even wrote and recorded his own music and the music of others in his own recording studio, delighting in the creative process. In addition to his love for music, Bobby hosted a radio podcast called “Skookum Report” for a few years, where he explored topics close to his heart and connected with listeners in a meaningful way.
Bobby’s life was a tapestry of musical moments, laughter, and love, as well as times of struggle, hardship and health problems. But through it all, he always knew that God was not ever going to leave him, and that’s what kept him from giving up. He will be greatly missed by those who truly knew him and knew his heart. His journey was far too short, and we are left with cherished memories of a truly vibrant soul. A celebration of life will be held at Noon on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Laurel Nazarene Church. A visitation will be held from 11-12:00 pm. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, we ask that any donations be made to the House of Mercy Transformation Center, 426 N. Pine Street, Seaford, DE 19973.
