Obituary

Robert Harry Cooper, 51, of Sharptown, passed away Monday, September 30, 2013 at his home. Bob was born on September 6, 1962 in Seaford, a son of the late John Franklin Cooper and Marilyn Cooper. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Sharptown, the Sharptown Fire Department, and a past member of the Laurel Fire Department. He is survived by two sons, John Cooper and his wife Jennifer of Sharptown and Philip Cooper and his companion Tara Santos of Wasilla, Alaska; two granddaughters, Makenna Cooper and Sophia Cooper; two brothers, Mark Cooper and his wife April of Laurel and Paul Cooper and his wife Sarah of Hurlock; and nieces and nephews, Wayne, Amber, Hannah and Isaac Cooper. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny W. Cooper. A firemen's funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, 2013 at the Sharptown Firemen's Memorial Building. Visitations for family and friends will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013 and from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, all at the Sharptown Firemen's Memorial Building. Interment will follow at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron, Maryland. In memory of Bob, contributions may be sent to the Sharptown Fire Department, P.O. Box 307, Sharptown, MD 21861.
