It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Dean Bounds, age 89, of Hebron, Maryland, who departed this life on Monday, August 18, 2025. Born on May 31, 1936, in Salisbury, Maryland, Robert was a devoted family man, a proud veteran, and a skilled tradesman who touched the lives of many. He was the son of the late Robert Beach Bounds, who passed when Robert was just an infant, Mary Sue (Savage) Bounds, and his step-father who raised him, the late Watson Willey. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and remained a true patriot throughout his life. Known for his unmatched work ethic, he dedicated many years of his life to his job at Automatic Equipment Co before transitioning to a successful career as a self-employed building contractor. His attention to detail and commitment to quality set a standard that many admired. After retiring, Robert enjoyed spending time helping his son Keith at Bounds Electric, cherishing the moments of collaboration and family bonding. A lover of the simple pleasures in life, Robert found joy in family gatherings, hard work, and his unwavering dedication to his country. He was also an accomplished mechanic with a passion for restoring old cars, particularly antique models. Robert is survived by his children: sons, Keith Bounds and Dwayne Bounds and wife, Linda; and daughter Tammy Ennis and husband, Richie. He was a proud grandfather to Kris Dean Bounds, Mellissa Sue Bounds, Ryan Ennis, and Reagan Ennis, and a cherished great-grandfather to Alaina Marie Bounds and Koryn Bailey Bounds. He is also survived by his companion of over 25 years, Sharon Conway: and a sister Irene Davis; and a nephew Jamie Davis.
