Willards - Richard Thomas Lind, Sr., 74 of Willards died Saturday, January 19, 2013, at his home. He was born on January 21, 1938, in Winton, NC, son of the late John H. Lind, Sr. and Wertley Smith Lind. Richard moved to Maryland while he was in high school and graduated from Wicomico High School. He worked for J.I. Wells, a wood mill in Salisbury; and his last job was working for Cropper Brothers in Willards as a wood broker. Richard was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed catering barbeques, and was a man who dearly loved his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Netta, whom he married in 1977; 4 sons Rich Lind, Jr. (Colleen), Randy Lind, Rodney Lind, and Brian Thomas Lind (Laura), all of Salisbury; two daughters Theresa Dawn Kraft (David) of Boca Raton, FL, and Melanie Nothnagle (Jason) of Charlotte, NC; two brothers John Hugo Lind, Jr. (Jane) of Indiana and Terry Lind of Delaware; and nine grandchildren Jordan, Koby, Skye, Baye, Jackson, Erika, Michael, Shelby and Jessie. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter in 1984, Stephanie Denise Truitt. At the request of the family, all services will be private.
