Richard "Dick" H. Harris, 74, of Laurel, beloved husband, father, "Pepa," brother and friend to many, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, March 27, 2023, after a brief but brave battle with cancer. Dick was born March 28, 1948, in Milford, a son of the late Charles Leon Harris and Martha Lee Payne Harris. He graduated from Seaford High School with the class of '66. He retired as a welder at Salisbury Steel and was known for his strong work ethic. Dick loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, crabbing, or working in his garden. He will be fondly remembered for his willingness to help family and friends in need. He is survived by his wife, Donna Kay (Henry) Harris; son, Rich Harris; grandchildren, Levin and Hannah; brothers, Ray Harris and wife Charlotte, Roger Harris and wife Diane, and Jerry Harris and wife Candy; sister, Darlene McCutcheon and husband Earl; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his loving and faithful dog, "Hope." A celebration of his life will be planned in the near future.
