Richard Allen Bromley, 70, of Pittsville, Maryland passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at his home. He was born on February 12, 1952 in Salisbury, the son of the late Rosalie Truitt and Homer Lee Bromley. In his early years, Richard worked at Benedict the Florist in Salisbury. His work at the florist inspired him to enjoy gardening and planting flowers of his own. Some of his hobbies included collecting antiques, painting, and drawing. He later went on to work as a certified nursing assistant for the Berlin Nursing Home, Deer's Head Center, and as a home healthcare nurse for 30 years. Most importantly he loved the Lord. He is survived by his sister, Nancy Stephens; nephews, Richard Stephens, Jr, Jason Nicholson, Kenneth Brian Stephens, and Duane Allen Stephens; great nephews and nieces, Jason Ray Nicholson, Abby Levesque, Makayla Stephens, Sara Stephens, Elias Nicholson, Anna Stephens, Joshua Stephens, Brennan Stephens, and Cason Stephens; several aunts and uncles; and his beloved dogs, Rocky and Star. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Jean Wood. A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
