Obituary

Reginald R. "Rick" Lizotte, 55, died Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. He was born in May 20, 1956 in Houton, Maine, a son of the late Lawrence Long and Pauline Levesque Bealieau. Rick proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was currently working as a maintenance supervisor at Harrison Hall Hotel in Ocean City. He loved working for the Harrison Group as a trusted and valuable employee over the past 3 years. Prior to working for the Harrison Group, Rick owned Lizotte Construction for over 13 years and for 3 years enjoyed his work for Dukes Lumber Company. Rick loved hard work and was a talented carpenter and woodworker. He loved to travel and spend fun times with his family. His children and grandchildren were a great source of pleasure for him. He was proud to live in Delmar where he previously served on the Delmar, Delaware Town Council and the Delmar Town Police Commission. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Linda (Williams) Lizotte; a daughter, Kim Henry and her husband, Bob of Laurel; a son, B.J. Dryden of Laurel; and a daughter, Audrey Hammond and her husband, J.R. of Ohio; 7 grandchildren, Lauren Smith and her husband, Billy of Bridgeville, Kaitlyn Henry of Laurel, Trey Henry of Laurel, Drew Dryden, Brad Dryden and Olivia Dryden, all of Laurel, and Aubrey Hammond of Ohio; sisters and brothers, Karen Mriss and her husband, Joe of Milford, Jeff Trombley and his wife, Cindy, Steve Trombley, David Bubar, all of Caribou, Maine, Douglas Bubar and his wife, Elaine of Barron, Wisconsin, Judy Theriault of Caribou, Maine and Brian Long of Birmingham, England. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 at Short Funeral Home in Delmar and also Wednesday from 12:00 to 1:00, followed by a funeral service which begins at 1:00. Pastor Tim Dukes will officiate. Interment will be held at St. Stephen's Cemetery in Delmar. Arrangements are being handled by Short Funeral Home of Delmar.
