Reese "Jeney" Jones, 83, of Delmar, died Friday, November 11, 2011 at his home in Delmar, surrounded by his family. He was born December 18, 1927 in Gumboro, a son of the late Raymond and Emma (Timmons) Jones. "Jeney", as he was known to family and friends, was a long time, very active member of Line United Methodist Church in Whitesville. He began his work at DuPont in Seaford in 1947 and retired in 1984 as a Stock Keeper. His true passion was farming and the outdoors. In addition to his farming he also raised chickens in his younger years. He enjoyed traveling with his family, especially the car trips and bus trips with his late wife, Kitty. He is survived by two sons, Gary Jones and his wife, Robin and Steven Jones and his wife, Trudy, all of Laurel; grandchildren, Lissa Miller and her husband, Matt and their 2 daughters, Nicole Sears and her 2 daughters, Stephanie Case and her husband, Robert, and Christopher Jones; step-grandchildren, Jennifer Keim and her son, and Charles Keim, Jr. and his wife, Kathy and their son and daughter; a sister, Betty Sullivan of Laurel; a brother, Sherman Jones of Gumboro; and a step-brother, Paul Baker of Arizona. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine K. "Kitty" Jones, who passed in 2000, and 3 brothers, William Jones, his twin brother Ralph "Jack" Jones and Ronnie Jones. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Line United Methodist Church in Whitesville, where family and friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00. Interment will follow at Line Church Cemetery.
