Raymond E. Myers, Sr., 73, of Delmar, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2011 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Maryland. He was born June 27, 1937, in Covington, Virginia, a son of the late George Raymond Myers and Sara Louise Myers. Throughout his life, Mr. Myers worked as a farmer on various farms. He loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and daily talks with friends on the phone. He is survived by his children, Raymond Myers, Jr. and his wife Daisey of Dover, De, Pamela Taylor and her husband Bruce of Delmar, and Gail McFarlane and her husband Robert of Mardela Springs; four grandchildren, Raymond Edward Myers, Robert James McFarlane, Rebecca Lynn Myers, and Heather Renee McFarlane; one great grandson, Robert James McFarlane, Jr.; and many other extended family members and friends. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home, 13 East Grove Street in Delmar.
