Raymond Charles Massey, 61, of Seaford, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Christiana Hospital. He was a son of the late Daniel S. Massey and Ethel Wright Massey. He worked for Asplundh Tree Expert Company for over 26 years. He was a big teddy bear at heart. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He loved to go fishing, hunting, cutting his grass and working on old vehicles. He loved to watch western movies and tv shows. He is survived by his wife, Eloise Adkins Massey; his children, Danielle Massey Lewis of Laurel, Phillip Adkins (Danielle) of Georgetown, Joey Bennett of Greenwood; adopted daughter, Michele Croft (Dwain); 7 grandchildren, Jeremy, Morgan, Daemean, Liam, Sadie, Devina, and Abigail; two brothers, Benny Massey (Angel) of Secretary, Carlton Massey (Virginia) of Blades; four sisters, Margaret Kinnamon (Gary), Janie Cordrey of Seaford, Brenda Cole (Jimmy) of Eldorado, and Terri Seymore (Rick) of Laurel; several nieces and nephews; and his father-in-law, Paul "Frank" Adkins of Laurel. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m.on Friday, April 20, 2018 at the Eldorado-Brookview Fire Department, 5752 Rhodesdale Eldorado Road, Rhodesdale, MD 21659.
