Ralph Thomas "Tom" Henderson, 78, of Salisbury, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2026 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake, after a brief stay. He was born January 14, 1948, in Salisbury, a son of the late Ralph and Peggy Henderson.

Tom attended Bennett High School and graduated in the class of 1966. He was known for his athleticism and he lettered in all three sports in the same year. following high school He began his career in sales at dresser Wayne industries. His past time activities included men's Fastpitch softball with Midway Chevrolet and riding motorcycles. Later in life, he coached Salvation Army football and Wicomico County Little League baseball. After retirement he could be found at Henry Parker complex with his beloved canine companions. He also enjoyed reading, history,and music. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.He was known for his sense of humor and his love of playing practical jokes on family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Patricia Jones, Nancy Lofink, Susan Henderson; and a brother, Billy Henderson.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbi Henderson; his brother Michael Henderson (Dee); children, Whitney Henderson (Mike), Ryan Henderson (Lisa), Kara Shockley (Chris) ; grandchildren, Gunnar Mumford (Jenny), Kerigan Shockley, Lochlyn and Broghan Carmine, Kendall Shockley, Karsyn Shockley, Aubrey Edwards and Aerianna Edwards; and a great grandchild, Brody Mumford.

A celebration of Tom's remarkable life will be held at the Salisbury Elks Lodge, 401 Church Hill Ave. in Salisbury on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
