Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ralph Charles Giordano, Sr., of Seaford, Delaware, who departed this world on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the age of 75. Ralph was born in Salisbury, Maryland, on November 26, 1949, to his parents, Dorothy Mae and Ralph Paul Giordano. Ralph was not only a dedicated auto-body mechanic but also ventured into the world of poultry farming. He proudly worked with Showell and Perdue Farms, managing his farms in Bivalve, Hebron, Princess Anne, and Delmar. Not one to shy away from learning new things, Ralph also became a licensed massage therapist, specializing in sports medicine. He was particularly proud of the time he and his daughter, Joy, completed their schooling together in this field. A proud U.S. Army veteran, Ralph served his country from 1968 to 1971, achieving the rank of Sergeant. He carried his belief in the Lord deeply in his heart and was known for his kindness and generosity. Ralph was a man of many interests. He loved nothing more than settling in to watch his favorite wrestling matches on TV. In his spare time, he enjoyed assembling model cars and airplanes and cherished his collection of Lionel train sets. Ralph leaves behind his loving wife, Sharon Giordano; his son, Ralph Giordano, Jr. (Julie); his daughters, Joy Giordano Hayden (James), and Stacy Windsor (Matthew); and his cherished grandchildren, Jordan, Evan, Jack, Sean, Lillian, Alexander, Kellyanne, Joseph, Nicholas, and Stephanie. He is also survived by his sister, Yvonne Kelly (Robert), brother, Patrick Giordano; and former wife and mother of his children, Linda Giordano Enochs. Services to honor Ralph's life will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, with a visitation for family and friends from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service in Parsons Cemetery in Salisbury, Maryland.
