DELMAR- - Ralph A. Gibson, III, 66, of Delmar, died Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Ralph was born November 24, 1944 in Casper, Wyoming, a son of the late Ralph A. Gibson, Jr. and Ella L. Briggs Gibson. He graduated from Delmar High with the class of 1962. He started his work with DuPont in Seaford right after school. In October 1967 he started working for the Pennsylvania Railroad and retired as an engineer in November of 2004. He spent his retirement working on his farm just outside of Delmar. He loved working in the fields, planting the crops and harvesting them. He loved taking walks in the fields and woods. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Gail Waller Gibson; two sons, David A. Gibson and his wife, Kim and Donald G. Gibson and his wife, Arlene, all of Delmar; and two grandchildren who gave him so many great times, Krystin A. Gibson and Zachary A. Gibson; he is also survived by two brothers, Brian L. Gibson and his wife, Karen of Pennsylvania and George G. Gibson and his wife, Linda of Pennsylvania; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Gibson home, 6379 Leterbuc Lane, Delmar.
