LAUREL- Racey Darin Pusey, 46, of Laurel, died Thursday, June 1, 2017 at his home. He was born July 30, 1970 in Seaford, a son of Freddie T Pusey and Kay Parks Pusey of Laurel. Racey graduated from Laurel High school with the class of 1988. He started working at Jackson's Welding in Delmar at the age of 18 and knew right away that he was destined to become a talented contractor and builder. He went on to study architecture at Del-Tech and University of Delaware. After college he started Pusey's Racey Construction and quickly became a proficient and dependable contractor who could build or fix anything. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Laurel. Racey loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed boating, fishing and hunting. Most of all, Racey loved his family and cherished the memories made with his parents, siblings, daughters and granddaughter. In addition to his parents, he is survived by daughters, Mara Renee` Pusey of Laurel and Madeline Anne Pusey (fiancé, Brandon Scott) of Laurel; granddaughter, Leilani Marie Scott; brothers, Garret T. Pusey of Laurel, Forrest Baker Pusey of Atlanta, Georgia and Jamie Wilkins (Tracey) of Hebron; a sister, Dawn Lucas (Russ) of Delmar; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews. A visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, June 5, 2017 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Laurel, and also Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service which begins at 12:00 noon.
