DELMAR- Paula Marie Dickerson Elliott, 49, of Delmar, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016 at her home in Mardela Springs, Maryland. She was born on February 23, 1966 in Seaford, Delaware, a daughter of Frasure F. Dickerson, Sr. of Delmar, and the late Wanda Mae Dickerson. Paula was a 1984 graduate of Delmar High School and a 1991 graduate of Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury. She worked as a registered nurse at PRMC for over 20 years and at Salisbury Rehab and Nursing Center for the last five years. She was a wonderful nurse and had a heart for taking care of others. She especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren. She loved fishing, crabbing and going to the beach. Paula also loved her cat "Rusty." She is survived by her father and his wife, Frasure and Mary Ann Dickerson; her fiancé, James M. Sinagra of Mardela Springs; two sons, Joshua Elliott of Delmar and Timothy Elliott of Salisbury; a daughter-in-law, Amber Murray of Mardela Springs; grandchildren, Madison, Ashlynne, Skylar, and Makenzie; a brother, Frasure "Frank" Dickerson, Jr. of Chincoteague; sisters, Rebecca Canterbury (Doug) of Salisbury, Linda Phillips (Allen) of Delmar, Molly Brewington (Robert) of Delmar, and Amy Fitch (Eric) of Fruitland; many nieces and nephews, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A visitation for family and friends will be held at Short Funeral Home, 13 E. Grove Street in Delmar on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Jim Hitch will officiate. Interment will be at Turner's Cemetery in Nanticoke, Maryland. In memory of Paula, contributions may be sent to Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1722, Salisbury, MD 21802.
