Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patsy L. Bridge, who passed away peacefully at her home in Delmar on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on April 13, 1938, in Delmar, MD, she was the daughter of the late Russell Ford Brewington and Helen Virginia Brewington. Patsy was a beloved member of the community and an inspiring figure in the lives of her family and friends. Patsy spent her career with the U.S. Postal Service, where she was known for her dedication and friendly demeanor. Her passion for history shone through her active involvement in the Delmar Historical Society, where she also served as president, fostering a love for the past in others. A devoted member of Melson Church in Delmar, Patsy enjoyed gathering with her church family. She was also known for her love of antiquing and was an avid doll collector. Her dog, Rosie, was a constant companion and brought her much happiness.

Left to cherish her memory are her four daughters, Cindy Dayton (John Sr), Misty Fields (Danny Massey), Sandy Rose (Robert), and Tammy Fields, a stepdaughter, Debbie Iafielice (Victor), along with her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, who will carry forward her legacy of love and laughter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John S. Bridge, sons, Timmy and Buddy Fields, brothers, Ford and Charles Brewington, son-in-law, John W. Dayton Sr, and stepson John Raymond Bridge.
